Designed around frequency range, waveform and drive duty
A wideband transformer serves converter-fed or wide-frequency drive systems. In addition to offshore environmental requirements, its design must consider operating-frequency range, converter topology, harmonic spectrum, output waveform, duty cycle, cooling and insulation stress. A conventional power-frequency platform transformer is not a direct substitute.
